ShopInspect vs Ecomhunt [Review] Best Trending Product Tool?

Love is sharing!

In this post, I’ll be doing a head-to-head comparison of ShopInspect review and EcomHunt. To begin with, finding a trending product wouldn’t be easy if you’re using the wrong tool.

Trending products change with respect to time and season, and you don’t want to be left behind whenever product trends. And the best part is that you could easily make more sales and revenue by selling trending products.

However, staying up to date with the latest stats in the dropshipping industry can be tiring. And that’s why buying some dropshipping automation tools is the best way of keeping up.

But with so many options in the industry ( think: EcomHunt, Niche Scraper, Intelligynce, ShopInspect, and many others), it could be overwhelming to make a choice.

I’ve done some past reviews of Niche Scraper, Intelligynce, and a few others. So right here, I’ll be doing justice to which one to go for between ShopInspect and EcomHunt.

Let’s dive in.

What’s ShopInspect?

shopinspect winning product tool

ShopInspect is an automation tool that helps in finding trending products by analyzing Shopify stores. For each keyword, ShopInspect displays the stores that are crushing it on Shopify.

And the best part is that you get to see all their winning products also.

What’s EcomHunt?

ecomhunt review

EcomHunt, on the other hand, is also a tool that curates the list of trending products in different niches. It does this by curating the trending products and hot products on AliExpress.

Each product is specially handpicked by Ecomhunt team experts by making sure it’s new and has high social media engagement with hot sales.

However, these products update are based on the product quality available on the market and rather not product quantity.

I believe focusing on product quality will help reduced bad products and invariably increase product conversion rate as a result of the availability of top-selling products.

ShopInspect Review Vs. EcomHunt – Differences

shopinspect review vs ecomhunt

EcomHunt and ShopInspect both allow you to find trending products but in a different model.

Besides, they have their differences in features, and this could also help to make a better decision.

And the first being where they both source their data. While EcomHunt source their trending products from Aliexpress and also compare with Shopify stores, ShopInspect source their data from Shopify stores only.

Besides that, there are a lot of other features, so let’s get down to business.

User Interface and Ease of Use

Speaking of user interface and the ease of use, ShopInspect does offer a nice user interface that’s generally easy to use.

my shopinspect dashboard

You have the options and tools on the left-hand side of the screen. Which makes the navigation process easy to comprehend.

For EcomHunt, the interface is really basic and not totally sleek compared to the other tool, though the products are always updated daily.

The interface can be overwhelming, with a lot of information on the product page. However, in general, it’s easy to get accustomed to the interface.

Trending Products

Finding trending and hot products is the specialization of both tools. However, the way they offer their service is different.

ShopInspect is a tool made for Shopify alone. It curates the hot selling products by curating the best selling stores for different niches.

shopinpect trending products

While for EcomHunt, it curates its list of trending posts by analyzing Aliexpress. And that’s where EcomHunt has the edge over ShopInspect.

ecomhunt daily winning products

As you do know, Aliexpress is a vast e-commerce ecosystem with a large number of sellers and customers. It’s a perfect place to find accurate trending products.

By curating their list from Aliexpress, EcomHunt does have a larger number of trending products than ShopInspect.

Filter Options

Searching for hot products on EcomHunt is more comfortable thanks to the numerous filters to narrow your research.

First of all, you can choose from numerous categories of products. The categories are in alphabetical order.

Also, you get to filter the products based on the offer-type, free plus shipping, funnel products, and retail price.

Besides, you can filter your result based on the order the products were added. Besides, you can seclude the result to show products added within a period of a time frame.

For this filter, you have four basic options; the last 7 days, the last 14 days, the last 30 days, and last month.

Lastly, you have the option of searching for products using their keywords.

In contrast, there aren’t many options to narrow your search on ShopInspect. The two basic filters it offers is the ability to choose a category.

And the second one is the ability to search for products using their keywords too. This feature is known as Product Search.

And with the product search feature, you can also search for stores’ names.

Video Creator

Here’s a feature that ShopInspect beats EcomHunt at. ShopInspect offers a video creator that allows you to make a simple video using the images of products.

shopinspect video creator

You have the flexibility of selecting the pictures that should be included in the video.

Needless to say, this feature is missing on EcomHunt. Although EcomHunt would always include a YouTube video of the product, it does not have a built-in tool to make your own video ads.

However, personally, I’d prefer a real video for ads like the ones provided on Ecomhunt compared to videos that are created with just images and slides.

AdInspect and AdHunter

AdInspect and Adhunter are two similar tools offered by ShopInspect and EcomHunt respectively. Distinguishing between both tools isn’t hard because they both carry some part of their parents’ software names.

AdInspect and Adhunter are tools that help with spying on your competitors’ ads and also find the best performing ads in your niche.

For AdInspect, you can search for top-performing Facebook and Instagram ads by using their main keyword or brand. Besides, you get to see the number of likes and shares an ad achieved. You also get to see the target audience of the ads.

In contrast, Adhunter allows you to find successful Facebook ads campaigns of your competitors. You don’t get to see their Instagram ads.

Notably, Adhunter is a free chrome extension tool and not a built-in tool on EcomHunt.

Facebook Ads Targeting

Aside from the ability to steal Facebook Ad ideas from your competitors, both tools help you with ads targeting.

On the premium plan for EcomHunt, you get access to Facebook ads targeting. Though it is not a done-for-you process, it’s the closest you can get.

But this includes the majority of what’s needed, like demographics and interest of your buyers.

ShopInspect on the other hand also offers targeting clues for your Facebook but not as detailed as Ecomhunt.

ShopInspect displays the demographics and interests of the customers buying your chosen product. To be exact, you get to see the gender that buys the product.

Instagram Influencer

This is not an ad targeting feature for Instagram, instead, it’s an influencer marketing service. Influencers play a huge role in the sales of your products.

But you need to find the perfect influencer within your budget. And finding an influencer is difficult.

However, that’s an added service to EcomHunt.

ecomhunt selected instagram influencers

EcomHunt gives a list of Instagram influencers that you can reach out to in order to promote your products.

And the reason it works is that these influencers are curated based on their interests. Without further ado, this feature is missing on ShopInspect.

Shopify Shop Search

This post is about tools used for finding trending products, that I agree with. And most drop shippers use Shopify as their e-commerce store.

And that’s where this tool comes in handy. ShopInspect allows you to search for successful and top-selling stores on Shopify.

You get to see the monthly traffic of the store and their monthly sales. Also, this tool helps you to see the top-selling products of different stores.

You will find this handy if you ever need to analyze your competitors to see what they’re doing to improve their sales and orders.

As at the time of writing, this tool is missing on EcomHunt.

Facebook Community

Nothing beats having a community to make inquiries and also learn from others that have surpassed what you plan to achieve.

A community will help you in optimizing your store, advising you on how to run your e-commerce store.

Besides, there’s more tendency that you’ll run into a few problems in the course of running your dropshipping store.

And the bad part is that the customer support might not have the answers to your questions except if it pertains to the tool.

In this kind of situation, you need experts with industry experience. Who do you run to?

EcomHunt has got you covered on this. EcomHunt has a Facebook community that consists of expert dropshippers and you could always drop your questions and get support from other dropshippers.

ecomhunt facebook group

Besides, EcomHunt is founded and owned by a veteran dropshipper (Mordechai Arba) with years of experience.

So there’s a lot more you get to enjoy more than the technology provided to ease dropshipping.

ShopInspect is lacking in this area.

ShopInspect Review vs EcomHunt – Similarities

Let’s have a look at the similarities between both tools and what impact they can have on your dropshipping business.

Importing Products to Shopify

Shopify has the largest amount of store owners. And both ShopInspect and EcomHunt are built with Shopify in mind.

And that pretty much explains why it’s possible to import products to Shopify. In order to import your products to Shopify on EcomHunt, you’ll need to click on “sell with Oberlo”.

You will be directed to Oberlo and from there you can import your products on Shopify.

The process for ShopInspect is different. To import your products, you will need to click on the “Favourites”.

Right from there, you will need to download the CSV file for your product and then upload the file to your Shopify account.

Although the two offer different processes, the end goal is the same but easier with Ecomhunt.

Smart Score and Saturation Inspector

When choosing a product, knowing the number of stores already selling the product will help you make a guess if it’s too competitive or not.

However, more than the numbers of stores selling a product, EcomHunt and ShopInspect provide metrics to measure how competitive a product is.

The smart score is a metric given by ShopInspect which uses both the number of stores selling a product alongside the volume of the search to estimate the smart score.

The smart score is within 1 to 100. And the higher the smart score, the more lucrative the product is.

A product with a smart score of 100 is a winning product to go with.

The saturation inspector shows the number of stores selling a product. And the rating is within 1 to 200+.

There’s no limit to what the score could be, it’s a straightforward data of the number of stores selling the chosen product.

In this case, the lesser the number of stores selling the product, the better.

Webinars and Tutorials

Getting accustomed to a software interface is a struggle for business owners and entrepreneurs, especially those with no tech knowledge.

To make your work easier, most of the software companies do create tutorials to make it easier for their customers to use their platform.

Here’s a break-down of what they both have to offer.

ShopInspect has a learning page that contains videos that walks you through the platform. There are three basic videos that explain how to use ShopInspect.

Besides the videos, ShopInspect offers a guest account to see what’s in the tool. It’s the closest to a free demo account.

You don’t have access to search for products, however, the demo account will help you understand what to expect from ShopInspect.

EcomHunt on the other hand offers more webinars and tutorials to help you understand the tool and dropshipping as a whole.

Besides 8 webinars and tutorials, EcomHunt also has a blog that is filled with valuable resources for dropshippers.

In essence, they both do well in webinars and tutorials this month.

Customer Support

If perhaps you run into any tech issue or have some problems, how fast can you reach customer support?

Both EcomHunt and ShopInspect do tackle this in a similar model. They both have an AI chat button on their site alongside a support email to reach out to them.

Aside from that, there’s no other way to reach out to their customer support.

ShopInspect Pricing Review

shopinspect pricing for monthly plans

ShopInspect offers two pricing plan which is quite expensive compared to Ecomhunt.  You do have a 7-day free trial alongside two priced plans; legendary plan and standard plan.

The standard plan costs $39 per month offering 10 searches per day for the different search tools on the platform.

While the Legendary plan costs $49 per month offering 250 searches per day for the different search tools on the platform. However, if you opt for the annual plan. the cost of shopinspect is reduced to the following from the image below.

ShopInspect vs. EcomHunt – Which is Best?

Choosing the best between ShopInspect and EcomHunt could still be overwhelming because of the wins they both have.

While Ecomhunt is cheaper and affordable, Shopinspect offers a free trial of 7days to try out the platform. Since it’s hard, it’s best to choose based on your need and budget.
